I am a CPA who began my accounting career by working as an auditor with KPMG in Canada. In 2004, I moved to Los Angeles and worked for a regional firm where I specialized in auditing non-profit organizations. After 3 years of auditing in LA, I became a controller at a homeless shelter in Skid Row.
My work experiences have allowed me to venture out on my own and provide accounting services to non-profit organizations. I combine the detail regulatory skills of an auditor with the day to day operational skills of a controller to help non-profit organizations develop an accounting infrastructure that is tailored for their unique operation and funding sources.
Non-profits have programs to run and funds to raise. I provide the support to stay focused and run the organization well.
